Medical imaging upgrade for Wexham Park Hospital

Wexham Park

With more than 100,000 A&E attendances every year, Wexham Park Hospital at Slough provides acute services that include cardiology, maternity, stroke and emergency medicine.

To help their multi-disciplinary team view critical images, the hospital has upgraded the projection capabilities for its PACS (Picture Archiving & Communication) system. Saville Audio Visual installed a 5,000-lumen Optoma EH505 projector

which includes the special medical DICOM simulation. With WUXGA resolution and powerful image blending tools, the projector delivers spectacular large screen images with outstanding brightness.

We needed a bright, reliable projector that would need minimal maintenance.  I used Optoma projectors in my previous job at Guy’s Hospital and knew they are of a good quality and robust. The multi-disciplinary team are impressed with the clarity of the images, which has helped to make their job easier. It is money well spent.

Yinka Onifade, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems Manager

We recommended the Optoma EH505 due to its brightness, resolution and DICOM simulation mode - ideal for viewing X-rays and scans.  Its dust-sealed, filter free design ensures optimal image quality with minimal maintenance. Reliability was a key factor in our recommending this model.

Danny Quay, Saville Audio Visual Account Manager
