Showcasing Heineken

Saville videowall highlights merchandising strategy

Heineken is the UK’s leading cider and beer producer and the name behind iconic drinks brands such as Strongbow, Bulmers, Heineken, Foster’s, Kronenbourg 1664 and Desperados, together with a full range of speciality brands.

Maintaining a consistent style and professional quality of product displays at the point of sale is vital to the Heineken brand profile and the company invests heavily in training resources for its own staff and its distributors.

At the company’s London headquarters, personnel from leading supermarkets and drinks retailers learn how to present and promote the Heineken product range in a dedicated Trade Room. Alongside specially commissioned presentations via the video wall display, a bank of refrigerated cabinets provides a hands-on example of best practice in product merchandising.

Focus of the technology is a new NEC videowall installation, configured and installed by Saville. Our specialist programming team created a customised programme for operating the videowall from an intuitive AMX touch screen controller.

The nine-screen display features an automatic NEC ambient light sensor and inputs from existing pop-up desktop interfaces have been re-used. Manual front access for servicing the screens is enabled by the use of NEC’s professional video wall mounts.

The videowall is dynamic and easy to use. It has added real impact and  raised the quality of customer and sales presentations to a new level.
