Digital signage drives up Burger King business

Saville screens on the menu

Leading fast-food operator Burger King has installed new digital signage systems at 27 sites located across the UK motorway network in Welcome Break service areas.

The installed systems comprise LG 42” LED displays driven by BrightSign digital media players. Content held in the cloud can be quickly updated onto the screens locally by the restaurant staff to maximise response to changes in customer traffic.

Welcome Break brand manager Lee Birchnall explained: “We have been running the new systems for just over a year and have seen a definite growth in ROI."

The screens help present a fresh modern, theatre style image to the sites. The system is very flexible and gives us the ability to use national promotional materials such as TV ads, which have a proven record of driving traffic to the restaurants
